Don’t view it as a science. It’s an art, and art takes time and emotion. Be patient and let it become what it wants to. Don’t force anything, otherwise, like most things, it will eventually crumble. With both writing and playing an instrument, be yourself. Just let you be you. I truly believe you can hear someone’s personality through their playing. And that is an amazing and beautiful thing. If it’s difficult or maybe not clear at first, don’t hate it. Love it, it’s all part of how we learn.
What are you currently working on as a musician?
I am currently just writing music and not performing. I am still trying to find myself through my music and feel as though I need to do that first for some reason. I have performed before and found it empty or something. Not sure why.
What are you studying in college?
Right now, I am attending Groove U for production and audio engineering. I love the studio. It’s where the magic can be solidified in time.
What is your dream?
My dream is to do what I love. And I kind of already am! I am very fortunate to be surrounded by such talented people in Columbus. I want to keep moving up in the world of music. I will work as hard as I can to do so.
