Dick Plunk worked for Procter & Gamble for 27 years in the finance organization.
He retired from P&G in 2001. While working for P&G, he was on the board of a small, mutual savings and loan institution, Lenox Savings & Loan. For the last several years, he served as chairman of the board for that institution.
Although Dick has played guitar since his teen years, he only started writing songs in 1999 when introduced to the Dayton/Cincinnati chapter of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association, Intl). Since then and with retirement, the majority of my time is spent writing songs, performing locally, and participating in various songwriting activities. He has been happily married for 47 years, have three adult children, and three grandchildren.
