Lisa Wu Fate has been practicing law in Columbus for 22 years. During those years, Lisa has practiced as a corporate litigator, an assistant attorney general, a trial attorney, and now as an assistant general counsel with Nationwide Insurance Company. Lisa’s charitable service began with service on the board for On My Own and Ronald McDonald House Charities, and continues now with service on the board for the Columbus Crew SC Foundation. As Lisa developed a passion for professional soccer, she established the W agency, LLC, a sports representation firm supporting professional soccer players. She furthered her education in the field of sports law by serving as vice-chair and then as chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Sports and Entertainment Law Committee. It is in this role where Lisa first became exposed to the music industry. Her partner, Troy Petty, is a local singer songwriter and recording artist (www.troypettymusic.com) who originates from Chicago. Troy is a member of the Columbus Songwriters Association (CSA), and he is now actively involved in the CSA and the Columbus music scene. It is this immersion that fuels Lisa’s connection to and passion for the CSA.
